Absolutely useless for photography so I hadn&#39;t even looked at the camera before about 10.30 tonight when the rain finally relented. The wind didn&#39;t, but I can put up with that.<\/p>\n<p>I started with something safe&#8230; a snail. That guarantees that I have a shot for my <a href=\"http:\/\/my.opera.com\/365\/albums\/show.dml?id=1550461\" target=\"_blank\">365 album<\/a>. And I have to say this is a rather imperious looking snail!<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/snail_1409107816.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Then the foxes showed up. First it was the young male. He&#39;s picked up an injury on his right front leg. You can see the swelling in these shots. It&#39;s not hampering his movement and leg injuries are very much par for the course for a fox, so apart from monitoring him there&#39;s not much to be done. They&#39;re very stoic creatures.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/fox_handsome_injuredleg_1409107827.jpg' \/><\/span> <span class=\"aligncenter\">Handsome<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/fox_handsome_injuredleg_1409107824.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Handsome didn&#39;t stay for long. He&#39;s still quite wary, and the wind didn&#39;t help. Cheeky is quite the opposite. Bold (like her mother), and, well, cheeky!<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/fox_cheeky_1409107850.jpg' \/><\/span> <span class=\"aligncenter\">Cheeky<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/fox_cheeky_1409107883.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>She can do the proper fox thing though when she wants to. Here she is peering round the edge of a rose bush giving a suitably severe stare.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/fox_cheeky_1409107918.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>I&#39;m looking forward to slightly improved weather over the next few days (the forecast is moderately promising).
