I guess like many others my working year starts in a few hours time. Of course that will take me back to Regent's Park, assuming the rail system can cope with a sudden influx of passengers in the morning. Meanwhile I have been taking a few photos locally, although the grey weather has reduced the amount of time I would like to have spent roaming the Downs. It's also been cold, which while not a reason for not going out the low temperatures are certainly not an encouragement to stand around for hours with camera poised. So the opportunities have been limited, but not altogether absent.<\/p>\n
This first shot was taken on New Year's Day at a local pond. It was part-frozen (which was something of a surprise). I still have some photos in the camera of goldfinches in the garden, but I have sorted out yesterday's effort which included a pair of very lazy starlings hitching a ride on a grazing sheep. The crows tended to adopt a rather more conventional means of transport. Landscapes are another matter, and the low sun cast some beautiful light across the valley.
