I had my old 400D Canon with me. It&#39;s funny how something once so familiar now seems so alien to use, but it takes photos and that&#39;s enough. And I&#39;ll be kitted up properly again at the weekend \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>The lake was quiet (not many people venture out in the wet&#8230; odd that \ud83d\ude09 )<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/lake_0102112197.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>I did get a rare (for me) shot of an Egyptian goose on the water, and given events in Egypt it seems fitting to post a shot or two.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/egyptian_goose_0102112257.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/egyptian_goose_0102112259.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The herons had deserted the treetops, and were gathered on the lawns.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/herons_0102112307.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>One of the duck feeders seemed to have brought some food especially for them. Hence this scramble!<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/herons_0102112322.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/herons_0102112324.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/herons_0102112325.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Back home the trail cam revealed that the badger had been back. If it keeps to its current timetable I&#39;m unlikely to get any photos. The recent visits have been at around 4.00am. The foxes are constant through the night, except when I&#39;m around.  I did glimpse a fox tonight (it evaded the camera though).
