So having raised and then dashed your hopes, I owe you a double dose of daily cuteness. Luckily, the pond was bathed in sunshine this morning. Perfect light for goslings.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/gosling_0405110016.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/gosling_0405110031.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/gosling_0405110036.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The ducklings were busy as well. Well as busy as tired ducklings can be!<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/duckling_0405110037.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Even the young moorhens were out and about (though annoyingly they still remain deep in the shaded areas by the bank of the pond).<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/moorhen_chicks_0405110002.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Now for the newcomers. I spotted this just a few yards from my office. It pays to look locally sometimes. It&#39;s not a glamorous nest box, but it&#39;s serviceable and has become home to a family of great tits. The adults were flying back and forth, and the box was squeaking excitedly!<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/great_tit_0405110090.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/great_tit_0405110114.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Finally, one shot from the garden, taken early evening as the sun was getting low in the sky.
