It&#39;s a large thatched barn dating back to the 13th century (though the number of repairs over the past 700 or so years means it has something of <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/pbha4XclSMU\" target=\"_blank\">Trigger&#39;s Broom<\/a> about it). It is nonetheless extremely impressive; and rich with history, the village having at various times formed part of the estate of both Anne of Cleves and Thomas Cromwell.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/falmer_barn_1305112121.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>As ever, there were young ducklings in the vicinity.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/duckling_1305112100.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>And older ducklings, looking quite grown up.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/ducklings_1305111898.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>There were young goslings as well.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/goslings_1305111891.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>And older goslings too, all in a hurry.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/gosling_1305112043.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The pied wagtails were foraging at the water&#39;s edge, while swifts fly overhead in ever increasing number.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/pwt_1305112063.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/swift_1305112010.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>But one creature keeps a low profile, away from the water but watching closely from the cover of the surrounding wheat fields. Somewhere, everywhere, a fox is lurking. I knew they had to be around there&#8230; it was only a matter of time.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/fox_falmer_1305111954.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>To close, another trailcam clip.
