The local pond is a prime hunting ground for them as they seek out insects over the water. <br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_2607117155.jpg' \/><\/span> <span class=\"aligncenter\">Swallow<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/house_martins_2607117296.jpg' \/><\/span> <span class=\"aligncenter\">House martins<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In between hunting they perch in typical fashion along the telephone wires that run between the farm and village buildings. Mainly there are swallows (young fledglings), but every now and then a martin infiltrates.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_martin_2607117194.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Whether this is mistaken identity or feathered aggression I&#39;m not sure&#8230; but follow the sequence \ud83d\ude09<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_martin_2607117196.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_martin_2607117197.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_martin_2607117199.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_martin_2607117202.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/swallow_martin_2607117203.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The maritn eventually gave up the struggle and flew off.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, down at ground level, there were more hungry birds.
