I&#39;ve now seen this four or five times this season and had got to the stage where I wasn&#39;t even bothering to reach for the camera. Except last night was different. Instead of their usual location against a white painted wall near the front of the garden, the two slugs were at the rear of the garden on the fence post where I usually put the trail cam. This was much better: a dark, wooden background and a chance of some shots against empty space (i.e. a black background).
