Possibly the same one as yesterday's… possibly not, although it was grazing along the same stretch of water. Once again the light was less than ideal, but it was windless and I was able to pick up some fine reflections.

I'm not sure what all that broken pipe work is doing there, but I liked the combination of imagery and it adds a nice dash of colour to the shot.

This one is here for the reflection.

And if you've ever wondered what they look like all fluffed up, now you know. It's one of two cormorants which were at Falmer pond. The light was poor, but I caught this one as it came into land. The shutter speed was down at 1/80s (ISO 1000), but the focus was reasonably sharp. It lacks the great light of some other recent shots, but for the moment it's one of my favourites.

Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D EF and 400mm f/5.6L USM lens.

[989
449,702
post-2094","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-water-birds-birds-2","tag-cormorant","tag-little-egret","entry
["GET
