Even in the middle of the day there&#39;s a deep gloom around, punctuated by light (and occasionally heavy) rain. Still, I got a rare sighting (for me) of some lapwings. They were some distance away and the shot is terrible, but one purpose of the blog is to keep a record of sightings, so here it is.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lapwing_0811110301.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>I also grabbed a few fairly dismal shots of little grebes and a lone little egret. This shot managed to get both species in one frame.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/little_egret_0811110323.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>For the rest, it&#39;s back to the garden pond, and another photo of  a frog.
