The first shot is the moon, taken at around 8.15 this morning.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/morning_moon_1312116474.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Turn 180\u00b0 and the view couldn&#39;t be more different.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/sunrise_1312116478.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>At lunchtime we still had blue skies. This is Falmer Church (Church of St Laurence, to give its correct name). It was built in 1817, but a church has stood on this site since the 11th century.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/falmer_church_1312116591.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The rains then swept in&#8230; but by mid afternoon had passed by. This is taken outside my office. The curved building to the top left in The Amex Community Stadium, home of Brighton &amp; Hove Albion (our local football team).<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/rainbow_1312116634.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Across the valley, Stanmer Park lit up by the late afternoon sun.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/stanmer_1312116647.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>I promised one wildlife shot. It&#39;s a white goose from this morning, caught in the brilliance of the sun as it rose.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/goose_sunrise_1312116504.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>To cap off the day, a brief but fierce hail storm has just blown through! <br \/><span class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/natureblognetwork.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/natureblognetwork.com\/button.php?u=Words\" width=\"0\" height=\"0\" alt=\"Nature Blog Network\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/span><br \/><a title=\"site stats\" href=\"http:\/\/statcounter.com\/free-web-stats\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/c.statcounter.com\/7187219\/0\/2c644058\/1\/\" alt=\"site stats\" style=\"border:none;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><i>Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D. The church, rainbow and park were taken with the EF 24-105 F4L IS USM lens.
