Yes there are cubs nearby; and no, I haven&#39;t seen them yet (and nor has the trail cam). There has, however, been a change in fox activity in the garden over the past two or three nights including a notable newcomer.<\/p>\n<p>Meet the new vixen. She is showing signs of lactating.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/fox_vixen_2304120391.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>She is sometimes accompanied by the small vixen who is a regular. Here&#39;s the two of them together.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/fox_x2vixen_2304120397.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/fox_vixen_x2_2404120570.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile Shutterbug is proving to be more active in daylight hours (and as you can see from the second shot he&#39;s been given the job of food fetcher).<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/fox_shutterbug_2404120537.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/fox_shutterbug_2304120427.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>The one other regular is the badger, who continues to appear nightly.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/badger_2004120040.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, England&#39;s drought goes on&#8230; amid constant rain and a flurry of flood warnings.
