<\/span> <\/p>\nAt the other end of the scale (size-wise) I ran across multiple clouds of gnats. I've given up the thankless task of trying to photograph individual gnats, but if you're at a loose end you could try counting this little lot. The one unusual capture (not that the subject is particularly rare, just one I don't see too often), is this shelduck. It was one of a pair that flew over. Finally, with all those insects about it's little wonder that the swifts are becoming increasingly active. This is one of the better shots I managed.
