Brighton seafront is in a state of decay, and apparently is currently preparing a bid to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/a>. To be sure the Victorian arches (home to all manner of artisans) are crumbling and significant work is needed to keep the historic seafront standing.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile there is plenty to see, including the Brighton Wheel.<\/p>\n

The Brighton Wheel is a recent but well-regarded feature on the historic seafront.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The latest addition to Brighton is the much more controversial i-sore<\/del> i360 tower, supported by taxpayer guarantees (private investors backed away). This photo shows the current state of building. A donut shaped glass ring will be added, but basically this is it: an industrial chimney dominating the city. Every time I see it I think that Shoreham power station has got that little bit closer.<\/p>\n
