It's a sign of a slow day when I end up photographing nothing but gulls, though the black-headed variety are fine looking birds and do put on a good show.<\/p>\n

This first pair were engaged in a minor spat. These things go on all the time and are frequently food related.

Soon after that I more or less gave up on trying to get any decent shots. The light was dreadful, the air damp, and most of the more interesting species absent. Hence this final shot. A motion blur image of some of the black-headed gulls mixing with the mallards. Expect more like this if the weather doesn't improve.
