{"id":24461,"date":"2016-01-05T22:56:40","date_gmt":"2016-01-05T22:56:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/?p=24461"},"modified":"2016-01-05T22:56:40","modified_gmt":"2016-01-05T22:56:40","slug":"coastal-birds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/coastal-birds\/","title":{"rendered":"Coastal Birds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is the slightly overdue second part of my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/brighton-marina-colour-variants\/\">New Year&#8217;s Eve<\/a> blog, and the promised bird life. <\/p>\n<p>The tide was out which is always helpful for spotting the more unusual visitors as the seaweed-laden rocks are excellent feeding grounds. When in among the rocks and pebbles they all but disappear from view (perfect camouflage), but even they can&#8217;t remain hidden from view once they take to the air.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_24473\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-24473\" style=\"width: 960px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ringed_plover_3112157910-1.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/ringed_plover_3112157910-1.jpg\" alt=\"Ringed plovers at Rottingdean\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" class=\"size-full wp-image-24473\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-24473\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ringed plovers at Rottingdean<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Finally, on many levels the pick of the bunch, a curlew.
