Luckily I caught most of those minutes. It wasn&#39;t bright, but the low early morning sun was casting a golden hue across the pond. A couple of cormorants were around as well, along with the ducks, gulls and geese. <\/p>\n<p>These are of one of the cormorants flying low in front of an autumnal tree. <br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/cormorant_2711125680.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/cormorant_2711125683.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>This shot, of a mallard, captures the quality of the light. It&#39;s why I love the early morning (or the minutes just before dusk).<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/duck_2711125739.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>I&#39;ll also include one of the greylags. There are three of them on the pond at the moment, but they are recent arrivals and seem to be setting themselves up for winter.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/greylag_2711125753.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Within an hour the skies had darkened, and the rain had returned. Tonight it&#39;s dry (and cold).
