The cormorants have vanished, and I&#8217;ve not seen a heron for a while either. I could photograph the herring and black-headed gulls, but it&#8217;s the ducks which are putting on the main display.<\/p>\n<p>The first sequence is a little white duck being &#8216;pursued&#8217; by a gaggle of large runner ducks.<br \/>\n<span class=\"imgcenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/ducks_mating_2103136255.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"imgcenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/ducks_mating_2103136265.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"imgcenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/ducks_mating_2103136281.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"imgcenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/ducks_mating_2103136285.jpg\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Not all the ducks were as active. This is a large hybrid who has taken to nestling down on an ivy-clad stone wall.
