I could easily post nothing but fox cubs at the moment, but there are other things to see which reflect the changing time of year. <\/p>\n<p>The first shot tonight is a moorhen. Nothing unusual about that (they inhabit the pond year round), but I did like the pose.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/moorhen_0205132351.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Overhead the swallows are beginning to build in  number, and have been joined by house martins. No decent photos of the latter, but the swallows are already starting to gather mud for nest building.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/swallow_0205132496.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>There are sparrows&#8230;<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/sparrow_0205132533.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and chaffinches.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/chaffinch_0205132537.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>Even a proud puffed up crow.<br \/><span class='imgcenter'><img alt='' src='https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/crow_0205132490.jpg' \/><\/span> <\/p>\n<p>A quick garden update&#8230; the cubs are still there, as are the three adult foxes. The local cats are shunning the garden at night, though they are active during the day.
