{"id":2862,"date":"2013-08-05T23:29:05","date_gmt":"2013-08-05T22:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/?p=2862"},"modified":"2013-08-06T00:47:23","modified_gmt":"2013-08-05T23:47:23","slug":"pier-to-pier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/pier-to-pier\/","title":{"rendered":"Pier to Pier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Brighton is privileged to boast two piers, and today my travels took me along the seafront from Brighton Pier (formerly (and still known locally as) &#8216;the Palace Pier&#8217;) to the one which remains by far my favourite of the two, the old ruins of the West Pier.<\/p>\n<p>Brighton Pier is where all the tourists go. You can&#8217;t go on the pier&#8230; it&#8217;s no longer connected to land, there are no rides, and slowly but surely it is crumbling into the sea. This morning it was quiet.
