As the summer slips away and we drift into autumn, it seems the rats have come out to play. They are becoming a regular sighting around the fringes of the pond. They tend to tuck in just under the bank so it can be difficult to spot them unless they make a break over open ground, and even then most sightings are, at best, fleeting.<\/p>\n

That shot was typical of most glimpses, but I was rather more fortunate at lunchtime to come across a relatively bold member of the clan taking its time at the edge of the water. The light was poor (these were taken at ISO 1000), but the setting was excellent and I was able to get about as close as I would want to get. <\/p>\n
