It&#39;s turning up regularly, several times through the evening, but is still quite skittish. Last night I was lurking in a corner of the garden hoping to be able to watch from a safe distance. The fox was quite close when it spotted me, paused for a moment or two (long enough to get this first picture), but then retreated to a safe distance. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox2.jpg\" alt=\"fox2\" width=\"550\" height=\"435\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19132\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox2.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox2-300x237.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tonight I decided to stay inside and watch. Better for the fox, plus it&#39;s raining quite heavily out there. Sure enough fox #2 soon put in an appearance. It must have been able to see me at the window (the camera flash is a dead give-away), but it was tolerant enough to let me fire off 12 shots through the glass over a period of several minutes. He&#39;s disappeared for a couple of weeks or so in the past, so we&#39;re still keeping an eye out for him.
