{"id":561,"date":"2005-12-08T22:12:25","date_gmt":"2005-12-08T22:12:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/archives\/561"},"modified":"2013-12-07T18:55:15","modified_gmt":"2013-12-07T18:55:15","slug":"well-i-guess-even-foxes-read-the-opera-blogs-and-get-jealous","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/well-i-guess-even-foxes-read-the-opera-blogs-and-get-jealous\/","title":{"rendered":"Well I guess even foxes read the Opera blogs (and get jealous)"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->No sooner do I post a series of photos of Fox #2 (see yesterday&#39;s posting), than who shows up tonight as though he&#39;s never been away&#8230; yes, Fox #1.<\/p>\n<p>There I was, poised by the back door, camera pressed against the glass when a familiar shape appears at the bottom of the garden. He grabbed a Markie and disappeared to the far end, so I popped outside to be sure who it was. Bright as a button he trots back down to the feeding bowl. As ever, he happily posed for the camera.<\/p>\n<p>I reckon he&#39;s been reading this blog and getting jealous of Fox #2&#39;s sudden elevation to fame. I mean.. whose face is it at the top of the page? I&#39;ll admit to having been worried about him. Over the past few weeks his tail had been showing signs of wear, giving it a kind of conical look near the top where he&#39;d been nibbling at it. The distinctive shaping is still evident, but from what I can see the fur is growing back quite well. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox0812003sm.jpg\" alt=\"fox0812003sm\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox0812003sm.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox0812003sm-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Having satisfied himself with what was on offer in the bowl, he popped down to the very front of the garden where the magic hen lays its eggs. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox0812021sm.jpg\" alt=\"fox0812021sm\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox0812021sm.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.permuted.org.uk\/photography\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/01\/fox0812021sm-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So it looks like it was just a temporary absence. It will be interesting to see how Fox #2 reacts.
