The vixen showed up tonight for a brief visit. Shy as ever, she only stayed for a short while before hopping over the garden fence. That seems to be a regular route for her. Very cat-like. I managed a few photos, but nothing great.<\/p>\n

Just after she departed we heard an almighty screech from a neighbouring garden, followed by some strange grunting noises. Clearly fox calls, so we hung around waiting to see what would happen. A few minutes later, someone was back in the garden. It was only after a few distant shots that we recognized the visitor as the dog fox.<\/p>\n

Well that explained the noises. Bold as ever he soon wandered over to investigate nearer the back door.<\/p>\n

His tail is still showing signs of the nibbling near the top, and his coat is losing some of the intense thickness it had a month or so back. <\/p>\n

But he's looking fine.
