Just a quick post this evening. There are some new photos in the Flying<\/a> gallery of bluetits and Great tits. I still haven't managed a woodpecker worthy of the albums, though after yesterday's near miss on a Great Spotted I nearly managed a photo of a Green Woodpecker today. It flew in while I was photographing the tits, but as luck would have it I was once again positioned in the wrong spot. Worse, it was at the furthest point away from me behind a tangle of twigs. So what I got with a huge zoom was this:<\/p>\n

The foxes aren't as shy though. And I was able to get some excellent close-ups this evening. <\/p>\n

No sign of the dog fox though, so we've been unable to provide the third mange treatment. Hopefully the two doses he's already had will have helped. He's a tough old fox, and these disappearing tricks are becoming part of the routine.
