I've a major job on my hands keeping up with the fox pictures I'm getting, and I will sort some out shortly. But for the moment I want to post some of the other creatures that inhabit the garden. The bright sun today was perfect for macro work, allowing fast speeds and reasonable depth of field. I generally fire of a burst of shots each time to try and get at least one in proper focus. There's a lot of wasted shots, but without a tripod it's just about the only way. And I doubt I could easily position tripod to get some of these.<\/p>\n

And as a quick update, the bolder of the two fox cubs has continued to visit late at night. Roofy meanwhile did appear briefly on his roof this afternoon only to be mobbed into a hasty retreat by two aggressive sea gulls. That made me wonder whether the wounds on his head are in fact the result of a gull attack, rather than ticks. In any event, the wounds are healing nicely and he spent a good deal of time in the garden towards the end of the day.
