The young male (now 8 months old) is still around, and still coming into the garden at night. His companion &#8211; with the white tipped brush &#8211; is still lurking on the far side of the fence out of sight (but not out of hearing). As for the fireworks, they don&#39;t seem to have caused too much disturbance, and on Monday night I spent about 10 minutes out in the garden with the fox while loud bangs were going off overhead. He&#39;s less keen though on the whooshing fireworks and tended to shelter in a corner when they exploded. As for the flashes, I think they&#39;re so used to the camera flash firing that they probably don&#39;t even notice them.
