A kestrel stopped by early this morning
And a long-tailed tit posed graciously at lunchtime
The cattle were grazing
…grazing
A pair of mistle thrushes appeared
A green woodpecker joined the fun
And another flew by…
And so there were two
One then flew off into the distance…
While the female made friends with a rabbit!
And finally a sheep appeared at the top of the hill
Camera note: all shots taken with the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens.

12 Mar 2009Darko, yes they seemed completely at ease. It's not a spot I get to that often, but I may head back over there.

13 Mar 2009Mark, the long-taileds are absurdly cute. I think it's because they're so round and have such tiny beaks.
