Autumn brings a changing of the guard as the nights draw in, plants and flowers retreat and wildlife prepares for winter. The foxes begin their annual territorial games and other creatures start to make themselves known. Over the past couple of weeks we’ve noticed some squirrels becoming very active, clambering fences and heading to and fro along the boundaries.

This is also my favourite time of year for sunsets. The low angle of the sun creates some truly vibrant colours, which play well with the scuttering clouds. This was taken just a few days ago, looking over the South Downs towards Brighton.

  1. Nice post, Paul! Beside squirrels I am glad to see that foxes are still around 🙂

    1. Thanks Darko! I’ll update on the foxes soon. There’s only one surviving cub, but she is ever so sweet and friendly
