The foxes are nothing if not inventive, and this young fox decided that the best place to be was on top of a group of garden sacks. He was caching some food in one of the bags, presumably on the basis that this is one hiding place his siblings might miss.

His ear still looks a bit nasty. I don’t think it’s particularly getting worse and it isn’t bothering him too much, but I’m keeping a watchful eye.

    Some foxes just seem to have chronic ear problems, unfortunately.

  4. Ear mites, maybe … but the others would almost certainly get them, too.
