I popped outside to add some vegetables to the compost bin tonight (after Chelsea's great result) when who should show up but one of the fox cubs. He hung around while I went inside for the camera and showed all his usual confidence, coming up close for photos and a sniff of my shoe.
He's showing signs of wear and tear (no doubt getting into scraps), and had a small wound under his neck for his troubles. One thing's for sure, he was livelier than the fox I snapped earlier in the day (previous entry).

21 Oct 2006This does seem to a violent time of year for foxes, doesn't it. At least his brush is nice and thick 🙂
