This is getting silly. The young badgers were back tonight, and provided me with the best photo sequence so far, to say nothing of the sheer delight of just watching them. Here's a small selection of tonight's photos. For most of them I was about 15 feet away, though that closed to around 6 feet for the photo of the badger on the path. As long as I didn't move, they seemed fine and simply ignored the camera.

The first badger appears…

But it wasn't alone…

I crept forward to get a better angle, taking care not to disturb them…

One of the badgers slips away… the other settles down…

A brief foray down the path…

And then a final look round…

And to complete things, just before the badgers appeared a fox made the briefest of appearances providing just a single frame.

That's what I call a good night!

  1. A good night, indeed! Congratulations!

  2. Foxes, badgers, birds, dragonflies, frogs and slugs… How about opening a zoo?

  3. I love their paws. So bear-like.

  4. Or wolverines. 😉

  5. dW, thanks! I've been enjoying the past few nights.

  6. Adele, those feet are something else. I wouldn't like to tangle with them.

  7. Darko, we're doing well out there this year, but a zoo would mean people and that's not great 😉

  8. dW, yep! Same family.
