Another trip to Rottingdean today. The tide was out so I headed down to the rocks.

There were oystercatchers…

And ringed plovers…

Inevitably some gulls flew by…

A little egret paused briefly…

The surprise though was a common gull. Believe it or not, this is my first photo of one!

Oh yes, I can't leave them out. I did stop and take one or two shots of the fulmars.

  1. A great day for photos!

  2. 😆 @ fulmars, everyone is yelling at someone 😆

  3. Nice photos and interesting for me

  4. Thanks Irczas!

  5. Darko, I love the fulmars. Totally crazy, always screaming at someone, but never dull.

  6. Lois, yes sometimes it goes like that. You can't always tell. The light was terrible, but it was quiet and in many ways ideal.

  7. Congrats on the common gull photo! I'm not sure I've ever taken a photo of one, come to think of it…

The egret is a study of white on black!

  8. Thanks Adele… another of those oddly named species for the collection.

  9. Nice post, but then fulmar pics always go down well with me 🙂

Do you ever go for a look around the rockpools for smaller things?

  10. Neil, I occasionally look in the pools, but it is something that I should explore a bit more.

  11. Thanks Erwin!

  12. Great Photos
