   At least I'm not alone. Was begining to get paranoid. If anyone reading this can log on to the forums, could you post a message in the "My Opera Site Discussion" board telling them that some of us are locked out at the moment and getting serious withdrawal :yuck:

   The reason I ask this is because there's the beginning of a thread that indicates those using the Mandrake distribution of Linux are having problems. The original poster in that thread coudn't get in using Mandrake, but could get in using Windows. I don't know if other distros of Linux are so affected, but it might be interesting to find out.

   Thanks for checking in…. makes me feel less isolated!

   I'm using XP2, but have tried with all my browsers: Opera, FF, and IE6 (and even NS 4.7)

   Also tried with my Palm Tungsten C…. The thread on the forums is a reddish herring. I don't think it's an OS problem. They've had some issues with the databases. They think they're fixed (but very obviously not)……

   … I posted on a thread that has to do with a database problem. The database appears to have become corrupted, and in an attempt to fix that they seem to have bolixed several accounts. Why only some and not others is anybody's guess, but there it is.

   Two suggestions:
   
   1. Try deleting all cookies and history, then signing in again.
   
   2. It may be necessary to use a "new" username/password at least until they fix the mess. No guarantees it's ever going to be fixed right, of course.
