Tonight, in the garden, three hedgehogs were on the prowl. Two were snuffling noisily under the deeper shrubs, out of sight of the camera. The third, a youngster ventured out into the semi open (I was at ground level).

  1. Are three of them a family?

  2. I think they are. The two adults are often together… and now we have a young one as well 😀

  3. Lovelly Hedgehog 😀 There used to be one that visited our garden a few years ago but since i cut a Hypericum bush back in Autumn that year he hasnt come back oops!

  4. Great, Words, thanks!!

  5. Mark, we've let the hedges get very overgrown on one side. They seem to like it. Lots of protection for them.

  6. Cynthia, it's a pleasure!

  7. *wishes she saw a hedgehog more often than once a decade*

It doesn't matter how much I look at hedgehog photos – they're still perfectly absurd creatures, and perfectly cute with it 😀

  8. We have had them in the garden here, but not currently. I suspect over-zealous fencing (not put in place by us!) is a factor, but I didn't see many even when I was out on nightly drives to record foxes 🙁

  9. Adele, it's odd that you don't see them in your garden. It's the noise that made me notice them. Either they're scrunching through the leaves or snorting/snuffling at each other.

  10. Lovely family 🙂

  11. Anna, thanks!
