Not much to report today other than this shot of a song thrush taken at lunchtime. I'd been watching it for several minutes as it flitted through the undergrowth. The sun was peeping out occasionally from behind the clouds, but mainly everything was in deep shade. Finally though, the bird took to a clear perch and the sun made a momentary appearance.

Meanwhile there's precious little sign of the foxes. They are passing through late at night, but are being about as elusive as foxes can be. To make up for their absence here's an old shot I found while sorting through some photos. It's from May 2010 and has a high cuteness quotient. 🙂

Camera note: the thrush was photographed with the Canon EOS 7D and EF 400mm f/5.6L USM lens. The fox cub was taken with the EOS 40D and Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG macro lens.
