Well it looks like we're settling into a routine. Fox #1 showed up just after 9 o'clock this evening, and stayed for about 25 minutes. Lots more photos, though I'm still having trouble with focusing some of them. That's the rub with a good(ish) camera… there's more pressure of the person behind the shutter. It's fine without zoom, but I've been trying to get super close with the 12x zoom facility. There's a reflective light that is supposed to help it focus accurately in the dark, but it struggles in zoom mode against soft surfaces (especially against soft surfaces that move). That said, I still reckon I got some corkers among the 75 odd shots I managed! The ones here are all from close range with no zoom or only a small nudge.
And as a bonus. mid-session I realized that Kinky was lurking at the back of the garden. She was actually quite bold and was willing to show herself even when I got up on to the grassy area. So for a brief while I had the dog fox 4 or 5 feet away from me at one end of the garden and Kinky at the other (about 30 feet away in the shadows). I've highlighted Kinky in the first of these shots. And you may just be able to make out her eyes in the final picture.
