No sooner do I mention that only one of the cubs has shown up recently, than a second decides to show itself. It was early evening, and much cooler than of late. A heavy mist had blown in during the latter part of the afternoon.

Anyway, one of the cubs appeared more or less on schedule, but to our surprise a second cub came trotting up the garden steps having come around from the front of the house. The pair of them were slightly wary of each other at first, or maybe this is just some sort of macho greeting ritual they've developed.

When the cubs first started showing up, some of these fights could turn quite nasty, with lots of whimpering and yelps. These days though, it seems more part of their necessary socializing as part of a pack or family. These two seemed happy to ignore the camera and decided to put on a full show in the far corner of the garden. By this time dusk was falling and photographs were tricky, though I did manage this one.

The video though seemed to cope fine with the gloom and I was able to capture about five minutes of their full array of moves from biting, to twisting, pushing and rolling. The links here are to a low band version and a high band version. Take a look, it's well worth it. Both versions run in Windows Media Player. Now also on YouTube.
