Birds, Foxes, Badger

A bit of mixed bag today, including this shot taken yesterday of a jay. Sorry about clipping its wings.

Another from yesterday is this cute shot of a long-tailed tit reaching up to feed.

Today's bird is a collared dove. I took this early this morning and it's one of the more successful shots I've managed to get of one in flight.

And of course, there's a badger. This was taken earlier this evening. See yesterday's post for more on how you can help stop these beautiful creatures being culled.

I mentioned foxes in the title, and there were in fact three of them gathered together in the garden last night. I rearranged the trail cam to get a different view, and it paid off.

Camera note: all birds taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens. The badger photo was taken with the EF 24-105 F4L IS USM lens. Foxes via the Bushnell Trophy Cam.

dW, thanks. The badger was very sweet, and seems quite comfortable with me being around.

Adele, I'm see more of them lately, but so far this was the best photographic sighting. I really like the way nature really does let you know what the season is.
