Some Squirrels

Not quite my usual haunt today, but where there’s a patch of green there’s likely to be some wildlife. In this case, several squirrels. The location is the garden of the Manor House, part of the University of Brighton at Moulsecoomb.

Mega Rat Post!!!

I took a lot of photos of rats today at Falmer Pond… so many that I’ve barely scratched the surface in sorting them out. Here’s a few of them (processed in Lightroom 5.7, released today and able to handle the 7D Mark II files). At last!

Back to Rats

No sightings of the badger yet tonight, so instead here are some photos of the local rats, taken this morning at Falmer Pond. It was pretty gloomy, and for the technically inclined the first shot was taken at a modest ISO 1600; the rest were all at ISO 3,200. They are more or less straight from the camera (just a little bit of brightening on a couple of them, and minor sharpening for the web).
