I was wondering where the photograph of the tadpole still in the pond in October was taken, and what species it might be (if known). I am doing some research on the topic of wintering strategies in amphibians.
Anon, it's a Common Frog Rana temporaria, photographed in a garden pond in Sussex, England.
Mark/Adele, if he carries on like that I'll need to move the feeder to a larger tree to take the weight 😉
:yikes: He, he!
I'm not sure what he might have seen, but he scooted along the branch a moment after I grabbed that shot.
😆 Do you know what he was looking at? He seems to have spotted something off to the right.
At least his shopping didn't slow him down.
