Pied Wagtail

One of my favourite of the smaller birds, the pied wagtail, is very flighty and spends much of its time flitting low across the ground making photography difficult. Today though I was fortunate to see one hugging a nearby rooftop. The light was good too, providing some great shadow-play.

    I love the last pic – it looks like it's going into freefall! 😀

    They are tough little birds. I don't often see them here, but when I do I find myself wishing that they'd stay still for just two seconds :insane:
