Over the past few years I’ve had numerous photographic encounters with rats. While they are commonly reviled, they can – in the right spaces – be incredibly photogenic subjects. They are intelligent, agile, great swimmers, and excellent at parenting (I’ve even seen an adult giving swimming lessons to young rats). These albums show this more natural side of the common (brown) rat.
