I don't think I've ever seen a grey squirrel with a brown face. Ours are all grey, the ones we had in Canada were either entirely grey or black. Is he eating leaves?

He's not going to starve!
Surprisingly they've forecast sunshine for tomorrow afternoon, but we'll see. The storm has been pretty bad up here, and the power went out for three hours this evening 🙁

Neil thanks! Lots of busy squirrels at the moment. They are even making early morning appearances on the trail cam in the garden.

Lois, they're seed pods from the tree that he's scoffing. Our squirrels tend to have red/brown faces though he is a touch extreme in his colouring.

Robin, thanks! He's got a mouth full of seed in the first shot. Concentrating really hard on eating I think.

Adele, the power survived the storms here (which is odd… we get outages quite often). Three hours sounds about average for them to get it going again. Didn't see much sun today. Every now and then there was a hint, but the clouds would quickly cover up any evidence.
