These shots are from late last night (early hours of Friday morning). I looked outside and a pair of eyes were sparkling from the far end of the garden. With the foxes two things will happen. If it's the vixen she'll be gone before I can even think about getting the camera. If it's Shutterbug there's a good chance he'll stay around. It was Shutterbug.
He's not bothered by the cold snap, but then he is an exceedingly well-dressed fox.
And doesn't he know it!
He checked out the corners of the garden…
The he was on his way… taking a quick short-cut to the exit.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF70-300mm 4.5-5.6 DO IS lens.

"I am great and I know it" seems to be the standard fox expression. 😉

6 Feb 2012Simone, yes he knows I'm there. I've been photographing him since he was a cub so he is very relaxed with the camera.
