I don't normally post things like this, but The Register has just published this article about a new law in Italy. The thrust of it is that anyone downloading copyright material without permission faces 3 years in prison.

I'm no expert, but this looks pretty draconian as it covers any sort of download, not just major file-share networks.

And with the introduction of Napster pay-per-download in the UK, it looks as though the face of the web is changing yet again.
