Just one photo tonight, of that most iconic winter constellation, Orion.

Plus a short video entitled 'Fox Bites Badger'. I really wouldn't have thought a fox could be this silly, but no harm came of it. The fox is the one with a suspected broken rear leg. It's been limping for a couple of months but is now occasionally putting some weight on the leg.

Camera note: Orion taken with the Canon 7D and EF 24-105 F4L IS USM lens. Video from the Bushnell Trophy cam.

  1. Orion photo is amazing, Words!
    And the vid is funny.

  2. I thought at the beginning that fox was just playful but then I saw it was just because of food :chef:

  3. That's an extraordinary behaviour to catch on camera. I'm glad the fox is getting better but it's not going to stay in good health if it carries on winding up badgers!

Great to see Orion back 😀

  4. Darko, what they do for peanuts :faint:

  5. dW, thanks! I liked that clip of the pair of them together. I really want to get some 'decent' photos of Jupiter and its moons, but Orion is always a welcome sight at this time of year.

  6. Adele, I do worry about that fox. It seems determined to end up in trouble.
