I've re-started the Picture of the Day series over on my main site.
For the time-being these will almost all be pictures taken last year. A few may have already appeared in the gallery pages, but in the main they will be new photos that haven't yet made it to the other pages.
Fox#2 is still showing up, but nearly always when I'm not looking. They don't call them canny for nothing 😉 Plus it's too cold to stay outside for long periods, especially as any movement will put her off. Interesting to see the different behaviour. Fox #1 used to carry eggs away (often to be seen 20 minutes later still with the egg intact) and would cache them (remains found buried in the ground). In contrast, fox#2 is prone to eating immediately and on the spot (or only carrying food a few yards to the back of the garden). The shells are neatly discarded on the surface. This is from a few days ago when the weather was somewhat chillier.
