I'll come on to the title of this entry in a moment. The weather was wonderful today, so I took the opportunity to try and get some photos at work. In fact the animal life proved unusually quiet. There were a few rabbits (too quick for the camera), plenty of rooks and seagulls, rumours of green woodpeckers (I didn't see any), but I did finally manage to get close enough to snap this chaffinch.

Back home, the cubs were as active as ever. Early evening they tended to stay near the rear of the garden. Judging from this next photo they'll be heading down to the pub fairly soon 😉

The real action happened later on. Several cubs were venturing down the length of the garden, and eventually I put out a small amount of food for them. One of the cubs came forward to investigate, and after a taster grabbed the bowl and tried to run off with it. Clever blighter, but he dropped it when I shouted 'Oi'. His mates showed up soon after that. As far as I can tell this is the whole family of cubs. Seven of them, in all. So I'd like to introduce you to (in no particular order), Dopey, Grumpy, Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy and Sleepy. I'll work out who's who later.
