The rain came today. Not heavy, but persistent with just enough indications of a 'break' that we risked a soaking to head out and see how things would go. After deciding that the seafront was not the place to be we headed to Kipling Gardens, part of the former home of Rudyard Kipling.
The gardens were deserted (the rain was still falling). They're small but pretty and there's plenty of shelter among the walled walks.
Looking out from the top of the garden you can see Rottingdean Windmill, which sits high on the Downs.
The rain eventually did relent and although the seafront was quiet, we did spot a hungry young rock pipit calling for food.
It got a little grumpy while waiting 😉
But patience is a virtue, and food soon arrived. It looked fresh too!
Now for the follow-up fox video to the 'Big Yawn' post of a couple of days ago.
Camera note: all shots taken with the Canon 7D and EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM IS lens. Video also taken with the Canon 7D and a variety of lenses!

9 Jun 2011Adele, he was doing well that day.
I know what you mean about baby birds. They are so ungracious and clearly (and correctly) believe that their only purpose on this planet is to eat.
