The young fox has been wonderful the past couple of nights. I think he might be jealous of all the fuss we made on Thursday of the old dog fox (his grandfather!). So he's taken to spending extended periods of time with us out in the garden (two visits this evening, one lasting over 40 minutes). Here's a very small selection of the photos.

  1. Nice to see him looking so bright and inquisitive! 🙂

  2. He was good fun tonight, wandering around and every so often coming over to sniff or just sit and rest. I'd have got more pictures (as though the 60+ I took isn't enough 😉 ) but I had the long lens on the camera and for most of the time he was too close to me to get the camera in focus (it's about 1.8 metre minimum distance). Of course his curiosity and friendliness might have been piqued by this.

  3. Bribery! 😆

  4. Congrats to you and your new "photo star" in your garden!
But attention: maybe the day will come and he will ask you for the fee. 😀

    Wonderful photos!

  5. Wonderful to see the fox photos. What happen to the open mounted fox? 🙂

  6. Lovelly pics 😀 He looks so sweet!

  7. Pabha, I can't remember what he was doing when he opened his mouth like that. He may have been about to yawn. That seems likely!

  8. Mark, he was totally on form on Friday and Saturday. More skittish tonight with the winds.

  9. Elke, oh I'm sure he'll want a fee. And unlike the wood mouse he won't work for peanuts 😉

  10. Adele, yes bribery. Not too much though, but it makes a change from sultanas and it's all local organic produce!

  11. 🙂

  12. What a pose!!

  13. stopping by to say hello, love your shots (blog newsfeeds are a great thing, aren't they? LOL) 🙂
